画像編集のこと

先日はちょっと時間があり，一時間半ほどゆっくりと画像いじりをしましたので，その時のレポートでも。
願わくば，「もっと楽な方法があるよー」などのご意見をいただけたら幸いなのですけれど…^^;

画材は，先日のエヴァ初号機。ツールは「Adobe Photoshop CS3」です。AdobeさんからはCS4の販促メールをたびたびいただきますが，あまりに高価でそんな頻繁に更新できる代物ではありません^^;

まずは写真を撮るところから。
マクロ撮影には，「エツミ ドームスタジオ」を愛用しています。ずいぶん前に買ったものですが，これの有用性に最近になって気づきました。
ドームスタジオのバックスクリーンは，ブルーとグリーン２色のリバーシブル。画像合成するためには，どうせ背景は切り飛ばすので，これは非常に便利です。

不要な背景部分を削除していきます。
まず，「自動選択ツール」でざっくりと選択します。近似値をまとめて選択できるコレは，昔から愛用しているツールの一つ。とても便利で，重宝しています^^


その後，こまごました部分をクイックマスクで選択。


これで，初号機のみをほぼ選択することが出来ました。


選択範囲を反転して，とりあえず背景を削除してみました。
ん～，相変わらずの手持ちマクロ撮影の影響で，被写界深度が浅いため綺麗に切り抜けていない部分が目立ちます。これをレイヤー化し，さらに周囲のゴミを絞り込みます。

背景に白いレイヤーを配置し，ゴミを目立たせた上で「消しゴムツール」でゴミを削除。
ここいらの作業は，苦痛ではありますが重要な作業です。主題を綺麗に切り抜けるか否かは，完成度に関わる極めて重要な要素。直進部分が多い主題はシフトキーを押下しながらクリックでだいぶ楽ができますが，曲線部が多い主題はどうしても時間がかかります。

さて，こんなところでしょうか？
今回は「破」パンフレットの表紙を目指しているため，背景にオレンジのボケを添えるため，新規レイヤーに「円ツール」で白抜きのオレンジ円を書き込みます。

当レイヤーに，「ぼかし（ガウス）」フィルタを強めに適用。

オレンジ色を増すため，「グラデーションツール」を上書き。ちょっと失敗して膨らんでしまいました^^;　目立たないかと思いましたが，出来上がりを見ると結構はっきりしてますね…。

これに，リリスに付いてきたロンギヌスの槍を合成したいと思います。パンフレット表紙とは違いますが，これしか持っていないのでしようがありません（笑

先ほどと同じ手段で選択→背景削除→マッティング。直線部分が多いパーツは楽でいいなぁ^^


初号機と合うように画像を回転させ，合成します。角度的にちょっと違和感があったので，「レンズ補正」フィルタで遠近をいじり，やや奥行きを出す風にしました。

撮影するとき，まっすぐじゃなくもっと考えればよかったのですが…。

色を重くするため，複写に「ぼかし（ガウス）」を軽くかけて「画像操作」で元画像と合成します。
複写した「ぼかし（ガウス）」に「画像操作」で重ねることは，あちこちで多用してしまうお気に入りの作法の一つ。今回は「ぼかし（ガウス）」を弱めにかけましたが，程よくかけて70%くらいの「画像操作」で乗算すると，割といい雰囲気の効果が得られがちです。パラメータを細かく変えて，好みの設定を見つけてください^^

槍がコアを貫いているように見えるよう，初号機レイヤーの一部を「消しゴム」ツールで削除。今思えば，レイヤーマスクを使用するんだった…もったいない;

最後に，昔撮影していたパンフレット表紙の文字を切り抜いて重ね合わせます。

角度が若干おかしいですが，この頃になるとやや手抜きに…^^;

で，完成！

「Adobe Photoshop」，本当に便利です。友達の家で一度使わせてもらった次の日，秋葉原に買いに走ったものです。まだ頻繁に秋葉原に通っていた頃ですね。ん～，懐かしいw

私も職場のPhotoshopは，デジカメに付いてきたVer.5，しかもLEです。これこそ使いづらいったらありゃしませんw

でも，Photoshop以外の画像編集ソフトを知らないので，我慢我慢…(>_<)
