店頭で，目が合って衝動買い。久し振りですね，こういう買い方は。
ネットを巡回しているうちに巡り逢う出会いもありますが，店頭で得る情報量は決して少なくありません。何気にCDコーナーを徘徊していた際，不意に眼に飛び込んできた浅葱色のツインテール。その外観には見覚えはあるものの，これまで接点がなく過ごして参りました。

ふと，手に取ってみたのが初めてのコンタクト。こうして，初音ミクと私は巡り逢いましたw


「初音ミク」，彼女そのものはあまりに有名で独り立ちしている感さえあり，CDを聴いてみるまで，彼女のことをゲーム中のキャラか何かと誤認していました。PSPのパッケージを散々目にしていたこともありましたしね。
なので，何の予備知識もなくこのCDを聴いて，ボーカル「み〜こ」さんをてっきり「初音ミク」の声を充てている人かと思い込んでしまったのです。ちょっと電子掛かっている声は，ボコーダーか何かを使っているのだろう，と。

しかし。
数回繰り返して聴いているうち，違和感を感じるようになってきました。人が歌うに当たり前な中間音というか，微妙な発音の違いに気付き，一つの曲に同じような声質を持つ二人のボーカリストが居るのでは，と思い至りました。片方は，あまりに高音から低音へ，またその逆へと，あっさりと移行しすぎるのではないか。どんな人が歌っているのか興味を持ち，そして改めて，CDのブックレットを繙いてみたのです。
こうして「初音ミク」の正体を知った時の衝撃は，筆舌に尽くせません。

「VOCALOID 2」という，コンピュータ上のDTMソフト。私が別のことに夢中になっているこの２年間に，DTMはここまでできるようになっていたんですね。喋らせるとそりゃあ違和感がありますが，歌っている分には，その抑揚や余韻など，驚くほどに自然です。こんな世界があったのか!!　もっと早く知っておくべきだった…orz

そういう事実を知った上で聴くと，このアルバムの素晴らしさが際だちます。
初音ミクと「MOSAIC.WAV」とのコラボレーション。「VOCALOID 2」と人との，素晴らしきデュエットアルバムです。前述の通り，ボーカルのみ～こさんの歌声が初音ミクとよく似てらっしゃるところがあって，たたみかけるような音声の波が，聴いていてとても心地よい。７曲すべて素晴らしいのですが，特に気に入っているのは６曲目「HATSUNEtive」です。歌詞の意味を理解して，ますます好きになりました^^*

そうそう，このアルバムには，いろんなアーティストさんが描かれた着せ替えジャケットが８枚も入っています。豪華だ～！


さて，今更ながらに「初音ミク」の世界を知ってしまった私。このままこの気持ちを眠らせてしまうのは惜しいので，もうちょっと踏み込んで知ってみたいと思っています。特に今回は「VOCALOID」と人との混声ということで，番外編から入ってしまった印象が拭えませんし。
個人的にも，新しいジャンルにのめり込みそうな感覚は久しぶりですし，これについては追記レポを予定しています（笑
